🌿What Is Yin Yoga?
🌿Yin Yoga is a slow and mindful practice that invites us to pause, soften, and turn our attention inward. Unlike more dynamic styles of yoga that actively engage the muscles, Yin Yoga uses passive postures held for longer periods of time, allowing the body to settle into each shape gradually.
🌿The practice mainly focuses on areas such as the hips, pelvis, legs, and spine, while gently working with the body’s connective tissues and encouraging mobility and flexibility.
🌿But Yin Yoga is not only about the physical body. The stillness of the practice allows us to slow down, connect with our breath, observe our thoughts and sensations, and cultivate a deeper sense of awareness.
🌿Although the poses may look simple, remaining still for several minutes can be both physically and mentally challenging. With time, Yin Yoga can become a beautiful practice of patience, acceptance, and letting go.
🪷 Yin Yoga is an invitation to slow down, listen to your body, and simply be.
